Food Vision 2030: L & D is consistently looking to the future

Grafschaft, 3 September 2026 – With its Food Vision 2030, L°&°D is establishing a binding and verifiable framework for the company’s sustainable development For L°&°D, sustainability is not a passing trend, but has been an integral part of the company’s philosophy for many years. From its first organic products, through the continuous reduction of food waste, to assessing the carbon footprint of its menus: sustainable business practices have long been a hallmark of the company. With Food Vision 2030, L°&°D is now taking the next step. The company-wide future

Sustainability requires clear goals

The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) also provide guidance in this regard. They make it clear that sustainable development is not achieved through individual measures, but through long-term and consistent action.

Food Vision 2030 translates this aspiration into concrete targets for the company. This is not about waiting until 2030 to take action. Rather, L°&°D sees the vision as a journey that has already begun and will be pursued consistently in the years to come.

“With Food Vision 2030, we are setting a clear direction for our sustainable development. We don’t just want to talk about what the catering industry of the future might look like; we want to lay the groundwork for it today,” says Phillip Preuß

The vision is based on three central pillars – People, Planet, Product – which link the various areas of the company’s operations. From responsible sourcing and sustainable nutrition, through the mindful use of resources, to employees, digitalisation and social responsibility: Food Vision 2030 takes a holistic view of sustainability.

Achieving more together

A central idea runs through all three pillars: sustainability can only be achieved through collaboration.

L°&°D therefore relies on strong and reliable partnerships with suppliers, service providers and its contractual partners. Through ongoing dialogue, concrete measures are developed, existing processes are refined and new solutions are tested.

After all, the challenges of a sustainable future cannot be tackled alone. It requires people, companies and partners who take joint responsibility and are prepared to break new ground.

This is precisely where Food Vision 2030 comes in: it links L°&°D ’s aspirations with concrete targets and ensures transparency regarding sustainable development throughout the company.

The journey is the destination

L°&°D has set itself ambitious targets for 2030, which will serve as a guide for company-wide development in the future. These goals range from designing a more sustainable menu and responsible sourcing of raw materials, through to reducing CO₂ emissions and food waste, right up to digitalisation, staff development and the responsible use of resources.

Food Vision 2030 is therefore far more than a sustainability programme: it is a promise for the future and a shared roadmap for the years ahead.

L°&°D’ , is convinced that the future does not happen by itself. It is shaped by decisions, by concrete measures and, above all, by a shared determination to bring about change.

Food Vision 2030 – looking ahead. Our journey begins today.
