Change in the bvik’s executive board: Rainer Pfeil steps down after 16 years; Melanie Lammers takes over on an interim basis

Farewell to Rainer Pfeil
Augsburg, 1 July 2026 – The Federal Association for Industrial Communication (bvik) is undergoing a significant change to its six-member honorary Executive Board: Rainer Pfeil, who has been a board member and treasurer since the association was founded in 2010, is stepping down from his post on 30 June 2026. Melanie Lammers has been appointed on an interim basis as his successor.

16 years of commitment to the German B2B Marketing Association

Rainer Pfeil has been a member of the bvik since its foundation and has played a key role in shaping the association over the past one and a half decades. As treasurer, too, he has shaped, secured and further developed the association’s foundations with foresight and great personal dedication. His own decision to step down from the Executive Board is primarily due to a change in his career focus.

“Rainer Pfeil has been with the bvik from the very beginning and has left his mark on it. Sixteen years of voluntary service is an extraordinary achievement, for which we thank him from the bottom of our hearts. He leaves big shoes to fill, and we wish him all

the best,” say Ramona Kaden, Managing Director of the bvik, and Kai Halter, Chairman of the Board.

Melanie Lammers takes over: expertise in the north and a nationwide strategy

In accordance with the Articles of Association, the Executive Board has filled the position on an interim basis. “We are delighted to welcome Melanie Lammers, Managing Director of the member company Bamboo Consulting GmbH in Hamburg, to the Executive Board. We have known her for years through her involvement in the ‘Initiative Nord’,” explains Kai Halter.

Through this initiative, the association is pursuing the strategic goal of offering its services comprehensively and nationwide, whilst further strengthening its membership base in northern Germany. The role of treasurer will be taken on by board member Dr Andreas Bauer.

This interim arrangement will remain in place until the annual general meeting on 3 December 2026, when the communications directors will stand for election as scheduled.
