Cosima is continuing to run EVENTFAQ and is launching a new centre of excellence in September

With the death of Thomas Waetke, the events industry has lost not only a recognised expert in events law, but also a key driving force behind greater safety and professionalism at events. His specialist portal EVENTFAQ, which he built up over many years, served as a key point of contact for numerous event organisers, public authorities and industry professionals seeking reliable information and legal guidance. This legacy is now to be carried forward.

From August, EVENTFAQ will resume active operations. The platform will continue to exist as an independent brand and compendium, and will continue to provide up-to-date specialist information, knowledge articles and webinars for the events industry.

At the same time, the newly founded Cosima GmbH will launch in September. Under the name Cosima – Coaching in Safety & Management, seven experienced experts are pooling their decades of practical and consultancy experience: Robin Bauer (Managing Director of SIKO.team GmbH), Dennis Eichenbrenner (owner of EVS-Safety), Marten Pauls (Managing Director of campo – event engineering), Daniel Schlatter (Partner at Schlatter-Zahl Rechtsanwälte), Stephan Trogus (Managing Director of SIKO.team GmbH), Manuel Weiskopf (Managing Director of s-cape GmbH) and Timm Zahl (Partner at Schlatter-Zahl Rechtsanwälte). Together, they are committed to making events safer, more professional and more sustainable.

Dennis Eichenbrenner, Managing Director of the newly founded Cosima GmbH, explains the continuation of EVENTFAQ and the launch of the new centre of excellence: “Thomas Waetke has left a lasting mark on the events industry with his knowledge, his approach and his tireless commitment. We are aware of the responsibility that comes with continuing his life’s work. Cosima’s offering comprises practical training courses, seminars and knowledge-sharing on event safety, event management and related specialist topics. The company targets event organisers, public authorities and professionals in the events industry.

By continuing EVENTFAQ and establishing Cosima, specialist knowledge, experience and diverse perspectives will be brought together in future. Thomas Waetke’s life’s work is to be continued in keeping with his vision.
