MFT 2026: Focus on future trends, resilience and sustainability

The MFT (Management Conference) is the industry’s premier event for professional development, knowledge-sharing and networking amongst all staff at event venues across the DACH region. From 21 to 22 September, the motto is #wirgehenrhein, as the conference is being held for the first time at the Rhein-Mosel-Halle in Koblenz.

For the 27th time, the EVVC – European Association of Event Centres e.V. – is welcoming the German-speaking events industry to the MFT. With ticket sales having started back in April and the early-bird allocation selling out within 24 hours, the association is now publishing the almost complete conference programme, including sessions, site inspections and the supporting programme for MFT 2026.

The diverse programme is framed by keynotes from high-profile speakers. To kick things off, trend visionary Sabine Rogg will set the tone for the conference with her keynote ‘Trends to Watch 2026 – between fragile identities, genuine connections and new friction’. The programme will be rounded off by Ivo Hennekes, who will speak on “Psychological Safety – and why it determines success or stagnation”.

The programme focuses on new technologies, resilience, and topics relating to sustainability, communication and marketing. Extensive and expert input will also be provided on issues in the areas of case law, tenders and international case studies. The sessions will feature not only experts from prestigious agencies, lawyers from the EVVC’s partner law firms and international guests, but also industry voices sharing best practices.

“This year, everything comes together in Koblenz: the Rhine and the Moselle, venues and suppliers, the conference and the experience. MFT 2026 will once again offer expertise, knowledge transfer and networking at the highest level,” said Stephan Lemke, Vice-President of the EVVC.

Discover the Rhine-Moselle destination

During six different ‘site inspections’, participants will have the opportunity to get to know Koblenz – an event destination within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley – better. Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, towering above the Deutsches Eck; the Sayner Hütte industrial monument; the EPG Arena in Koblenz; and other venues will open their doors exclusively, offering fascinating insights both in front of and behind the scenes.

Innovation and dialogue
The association’s partner companies will share their diverse expertise on new developments and trends within the industry. In the ‘Partner Stages’ format, EVVC partners will present their latest innovations, services and products in short pitches.

Input, networking and more

In addition, all participants have the chance to contribute their own ideas in the ‘Open Space’ session. As with the entire conference, this session will be led by Desirée Ackermann, a presenter well known from previous years.

Naturally, there will be plenty of opportunity for networking and exchange during the two days on the Rhine and Moselle – both during the conference itself and afterwards: the EVVC Community Evening invites all participants to enjoy a convivial get-together with delicious food, chilled drinks and music.

‘Youngsters’ shake up MFT

The EVVC is particularly keen to give young colleagues access to professional development and networking at the MFT. Apprentices, students, trainees and employees under the age of 27 can therefore attend the MFT with the heavily discounted ‘Youngster’ ticket. This breaks down a barrier and offers the industry’s young talent a unique opportunity.
