How is generative AI changing creative work in the events industry? What new opportunities are emerging for concept development, design and communication? And what skills do events professionals need to actively help shape this development? With the trAIbhaus Lab, the neo summit 26 is launching its own workshop track that focuses precisely on these questions.
The trAIbhaus brings together the expertise of over a hundred partner agencies from the DACH region and unites a large network of lecturers and alumni with in-depth AI expertise. Amidst all the creative possibilities and AI excellence, the focus is always on critical questioning and targeted application. After all, AI acts as an amplifier of one’s own creativity when it enables people to explore new realms of possibility.
“The neo summit 26 is not about viewing AI merely as a technology. The key question is how we can use these new tools to develop better ideas, transform processes and take our creative work to the next level. With treibhaus, we’re gaining a partner that embodies this practical application and opens up new perspectives for both young and experienced event professionals,” emphasises Maxi Neßmann, organiser of neo summit 26.
At the trAIbhaus Lab, participants at neo summit 26 will meet experts and alumni from the network. They will demonstrate how generative AI can be meaningfully integrated into creative processes – from the initial briefing stage right through to the implementation draft. This is not just about tools, but about new ways of thinking and new questions: will AI become a tool, an enabler or a layer for us? Does it make us smarter, more creative or lazier? These questions will be explored in the workshop streams.
Contributions include sessions by Simone Schwartz (East End), Paula Wötzel and Mila Eberhard (concept.mipa), and Moritz von Graevenitz (Peng Peng!), who will offer different perspectives on creativity, strategy and the use of AI in communication processes. All other slots from the treibhaus line-up will be published in the coming weeks.
With the trAIbhaus Lab, the neo summit 26 is adding another practical component to its programme. Alongside the Main Stage, featuring cross-cutting topics on AI in events, and the Strategy & Leadership Track, which is aimed at senior executives, this creates a learning format for anyone wishing to understand how generative AI is transforming creative processes and what opportunities this presents for the future of the events industry.
“Live Intelligence is what defines the events industry: without the interplay of many experienced trades, events would not be feasible. And at the same time, our intelligence is being put to the test. AI is taking the lead, the pressure on young creatives to deliver is rising, and the shared learning space is shifting. With treibhaus, we offer a platform for constantly familiarising ourselves with AI in a non-competitive environment. It is precisely this learning culture that we are bringing to neo summit 26. Because I am convinced that profound insights arise from interactions at precisely such events,” explains Sabine Mayer, CLO of treibhaus and Creative Director of Events.
The neo summit 26 will take place on 6 and 7 October 2026 as part of the leat con in Hamburg. The ticket also includes access to the entire convention and the extensive programme of the leat con.
