Wuppertal, 27 August 2026 – Riedel is strengthening its leadership structure and global go-to-market organisation with effect from 1 January 2027. Lutz Rathmann will become CEO of Riedel Communications, thereby assuming overall responsibility for the Product Division and the Managed Technology Division. At the same time, Anthony Zuyderhoff will take on the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and lead the company’s newly consolidated global go-to-market organisation. Jan Eveleens, the current CEO of the Product Division, will retire at the end of 2026 following a long and successful career in the broadcast industry.
The new structure will bring the Product Division and the Managed Technology Division more closely together, further consolidating Riedel’s expertise in product development and live production. Both divisions will retain their respective teams, expertise and market focus, but will work even more closely together within the company. At the same time, Riedel is bringing together the customer-facing areas of sales, service, support and marketing under a single go-to-market leadership team. This is intended to make the way we engage with and support customers and partners even more coordinated and consistent.
“Our customers do not think in terms of internal structures or individual areas of responsibility. They expect us to understand their challenges and bring the right expertise together,” said Rathmann. “By aligning Product and Managed Technology more closely whilst simultaneously strengthening our market engagement, we can translate our combined expertise into added value for our customers and partners in an even more targeted manner.”
With Lutz Rathmann, an experienced leader from within the company is taking on overall responsibility for both divisions. Before returning to Riedel in 2020 to take over as head of the Managed Technology Division, Rathmann had already held various internal management positions within the company, including Vice Director of Global Events and Head of Project Management. Since then, he has strategically expanded the business, developed new business opportunities and partnerships, and further refined the solution portfolio for international events and live productions. Together with Jan Eveleens, he has also driven closer collaboration between the Managed Technology and Product Divisions, thereby laying the foundations for bringing the two areas even more closely together under his leadership.
“Our aim is to ensure that Riedel is perceived as a strategic and operational unit at every point of contact with our customers,” says Zuyderhoff. “To achieve this, we are linking our sales teams more closely, bringing the right expertise into play at an earlier stage and focusing more strongly on the results our customers want to achieve – rather than on individual products.”
Zuyderhoff, currently Executive Director of Global Sales, will take charge of the new go-to-market organisation and unite the key customer-facing areas under a single leadership. The new structure is designed to ensure seamless collaboration, accelerate decision-making processes and further strengthen support for customers and partners across products and services.
“Lutz knows our customers, our technologies and the demands of complex live productions,” said Thomas Riedel, CEO of the Riedel Group. “Anthony brings the commercial perspective and market focus needed to translate these strengths into a consistent customer experience. Together, they will help to combine our areas of expertise even more effectively and make Riedel more accessible and easier to understand for our customers and partners, whilst further strengthening our market position. At the same time, I would like to thank Jan for his extraordinary contribution to Riedel. I am delighted that we will continue to benefit from his expertise in the future in an advisory capacity.”
